Your comments on USP’s proposed public standards play a key role in USP’s standards-setting process. You can comment on all proposed text published in
The more comments USP’s proposed standards receive from stakeholders—industry, academia, regulatory authorities, healthcare professionals, associations, patients—the stronger and more useful they become.
Getting involved by submitting comments—typically, requesting that a proposed new or revised USP standard be supported, modified, or not pursued—ensures that your viewpoint will be considered. The assigned Expert Committee is responsible for reviewing all comments, and deciding whether the suggested changes should be incorporated, partially incorporated, or not incorporated into the proposed standard.
If the proposed standard advances to official status and is published, a summary of the comments and the Expert Committee's responses will be released to the public and posted in the Revisions and Commentary section of www.USPNF.com.
