USP Infrared Spectroscopy Chapters with Hands-on Identification Testing (Classroom/ Laboratory)

Event

Course Description:

This training module introduces participants to the fundamental concepts of infrared (IR) spectroscopy, beginning with an overview of the electromagnetic spectrum and the theoretical principles underlying IR spectroscopy. The course also covers the general components of IR spectroscopy instrumentation, practical applications, and typical instrument checks and requirements, with reference to relevant USP General Chapters.
The hands-on session provides participants with practical experience in performing identification tests using an IR spectrophotometer and comparing sample spectra with reference standards.
