This course introduces the fundamental concepts of pH and its importance in pharmaceutical quality control. Participants will learn methods for measuring pH depending on the required accuracy and application. The theory session covers the use of pH meters, including their components—particularly the electrode—calibration procedures, daily checks, and best practices for measuring pH in solutions.
The hands-on session provides practical experience in calibrating and using a pH meter in accordance with USP General Chapter <791> pH, with emphasis on proper use, maintenance, and storage to ensure reliable and accurate measurements.
