Join us at the 2025 World Health Summit (WHS), which takes place October 12 – 14, 2025 in Berlin, Germany with the theme, “Taking Responsibility for Health in a Fragmenting World". This year’s event brings together more than 14,000 participants, both on-site and online, including global health experts, policymakers, scientists, industry leaders, civil society members, and other stakeholders across the globe to discuss science-based, cross-sectoral approaches to public health and next steps in global health development.

Strengthening Quality of Medicines in Sub-Saharan Africa: Identifying, Assessing and Tackling Substandard and Falsified Medical Products

Ensuring the quality of medicines is a major challenge in improving access to medical products in low- and middle-income countries, along with drug availability, affordability, geographic accessibility, and acceptability of treatments. This session will highlight how greater documentation, including identifying, assessing, and tackling substandard and falsified medical products, can help ensure more consistent access to safe, effective, and quality-assured medicines in countries across Africa.
